ANTAGONISTIC EFFECT OF THE LACTIC BACTERIA ISOLATED FROM THE CAMEL MILK ON STAPHYLOCOCCUS AUREUS IN YOGHOURT MANUFACTURING

This paper deals with the lactic bacteria found in the raw camel milk producing antibacterial substances. Samples of milk were obtained from female camels of herds from nomads living in the south of Algeria. The antibacterial activity of the bacteria was tested on Staphylococcus aureusstrains and their role as natural bio-preservatives in the yoghourt was assessed.
Among the seven (07) strains of lactic bacteria which were isolated from camel milk Lb. fermentum (Lc17) presented the highest antagonistic effect on S. aureus. It was verified that there was no interaction between the lactic ferments of yoghourt and Lb. fermentum and no modification of the acidity of the yoghourt. The inhibition of Staphylococcus aureus by yoghurt containing a charge of 5.87 log cfu of Lb. fermentum was compared with that of yoghourt constituted exclusively by lactic ferments, after 4 hours of incubation in a mixed culture.

THE INVESTIGATION OF NEW XANTHINE DERIVATIVE С-3 INFLUENCE ON ENERGY METABOLISM AND ITS NEURONAL MEMBRANE PROTECTION UNDER THE GLOBAL CEREBRAL ISCHEMIA DEVELOPMENT

This article contains results for the investigation of new xanthine derivative influence on energy metabolism and its neuronal membrane protection under the global cerebral ischemia development. The compound C-3 is discussed, as the most effective in protection against ischemic inquiry of neuronal membranes and in modulatory effects on energy metabolism in comparison with preparation Mexidol

THE INFLUENCE OF 7, 8-DISUBSTITUTED-3-METHYL XANTHINE ¬ AT THE VISCERAL STIMULATION AND THE FLOGOGENNY INFLAMMATORY REACTION

The purpose of this study was to investigate the anti-inflammatory and analgesic activity of the brand-new synthesized 7 ,8-disubstituted-3-methyl ¬ xanthine. The compound b-oxy-g-(n- nitrophenoxy) propyl 3-methyl-7-alkyl-8-piperidino xanthine has an analgesic effect (reduces a number of acetic cramps to 42.4%). The Compound b,g-dihydroxypropyl 3-methyl-7-alkyl-8-morpho linoxantine has a marked antiexudative effect (reduces the development of experimental carrageenan edema of the paws for the rats to 36 , 3%).

It has been established that 7 ,8-disubstituted-3-methylxanthines are a promising group of the organic compounds for the further synthesis and pharmacological screening to produce on their basis the pharmacological compounds with analgesic and anti-inflammatory properties.

THE INVESTIGATION OF ANALGESIC AND ANTI-INFLAMMATORY ACTIVITY OF 8-MONO-SUBSTITUTED 3 – METHYLXANTHINE

The purpose of this research is to investigate the anti-inflammatory and analgesic activity of the brand-new synthesized 8-mono-substituted                      3-methylxanthine. The experimental studies of the analgesic activity have been carried out on the albino rats of the Wistar line with the help of the “acetic cramps” model, and the study of the substances effect for a phlogogenic inflammation with the help of the model of the acute inflammatory edema caused by the subplantar administration of carraghenin.

We have identified the compound 14 which has analgesic effect (reduces the amount of “acetic convulsions” to 31.1%), and the compound 3 which has an anti-exudative effect (reduces the development of experimental carraghenin edema in rats’ paw to 28.1%), which are worse than comparators in their activity (nimesulide and diclofenac).

It has been established that 8-monosubstituted 3-methylxanthines are a promising group of the organic compounds for the further synthesis and pharmacological screening to produce on their basis the pharmacological compounds with analgesic and anti-inflammatory properties.

THE EFFECT OF MELATONIN ON THE FUNCTIONAL CONDITION OF THE RATS’ KIDNEYS UNDER CONDITIONS OF A TOXIC ACTION OF CADMIUM CHLORIDE

The changes of kidney’s functions have been investigated on 30 white male nonlinear rats with the toxic poisoning by the cadmium chloride (CdCI2). It has been found that against the background of intoxication the daily urine output has been decreased, while the concentration and excretion of potassium have been increased. There was retention azotemia and decrease of glomerular filtration rate, comparing with the control. The introduction of exogenous melatonin has resulted in the correction of the investigated parameters, bringing them to the values ​​of control.

THE POSSIBILITIES OF CORRECTION OF THE TOXIC EFFECTS OF ANTITUMOR ANTIBIOTIC DOXORUBICIN WITH THE DERIVATIVES OF THE GLUCOSAMINE AND ITS COMBINATIONS

We have investigated the effectiveness of glucosamine derivatives and their combinations under doxorubicene intoxication in the experiment on mice. It has been found that, against a background of the therapeutic use of the investigational compounds significantly reduce the expressions of  the toxicity effect of doxorubicin, prolong life span for laboratory animals with the simulated pathology and increase their survival rate. We have selected the most effective objects such as glucosamine hydrochloride (at semi-therapeutic dose of 50 mg / kg) and the combination of glucosamine hydrochloride, N-acetylglucosamine with quercetin (at a dose of 82 mg / kg) – as the prospective correctors of the toxicity of anthracycline antitumor antibiotics.

METHABOLIC ABNORMALITIES IN THE ORGANISM OF RATS UNDER THE CONDITIONS OF SODIUM NITRITE DAMAGE 

Damage of rats by Sodium nitrite in the dose 45 mg / kg causes an increase in the blood content of MetHb, nitrite ions in all organs of animals and deepening of the endogenous intoxication. The most sensitive immature age rats appeared to be, which is confirmed by the more pronounced changes in the studied tissues.

THE INFLUENCE OF ALKALOID-FREE FRACTION OF GALEGA OFFICINALIS EXTRACT ON THE p 53 AND Bcl – 2 PROTEINS CONTENT OF RATS MONONUCLEAR LEUKOCYTES UNDER THE EXPERIMENTAL DIABETES MELLITUS TYPE 1

Using immunohistochemestry method we saw quantitative redistribution of mononuclear leukocytes (MNL) of rat’s peripheral blood. MNL contain proapoptotic protein p53 and antyapoptotic protein Bcl-2 under conditions of experimental diabetes mellitus (EDM) type 1. Application of alkaloid-free fraction of Galega officinalis extract (AFF GOE) under EDM normalizes the ratio of mononuclear leukocytes which contain the aforementioned protein-regulators of apoptosis. This indicates that the inhibitory effect of AFF GOE on programmed death of immunocompetent cells. The investigated anti-apoptotic effect of the studied extract can be attributed to antioxidant action of bioactive substances in its composition.

CHARACTERISTIC ACTION DERIVATIVES (3-R-OXO-2H-[1,2,4]-TRIAZINE-[2,3-c]-QUINAZOLIN-6-YL) CARBOXYLIC ACIDS ON THE DYNAMIC AND STATIC ENDURANCE OF THE RATS.

The course (5-days) intraperitoneal introduction, which has been tested on the rats, of the derivatives (3-R-oxo-2H-[1,2,4]-triazine-[2,3-c]-quinazolin-6-yl) carboxylic acids with the laboratory code АV-224, АV-227, DSK-38 and DSK-39 at doses which equal to their ED50 according to the swimming test, like bemethyl can facilitate to improve dynamic (the running time in a treadmill) and static (the time of holding down on the rod, which is rotating) body endurance . The leading compound АV-224 predominates the reference aktoprotector in 3.3 and 2.8 times respectively, according to the efficiency under the given experimental conditions.

THE SEARCH OF THE BAC STABILIZATORS OF MEMBRANES AMONG BENZYLILIDENHYDRAZIDE 3- BENZYL- XANTHINYL- 8 – THIOACETIC ACID

In the article the results of researches of antioxidant activity of benzylilidenhydrazide 3- benzylxanthinil- 8 – thioacetic acid are presented with the use of in vitro of method by notenzymic initiation of free-radical lipooveroxidation, certain conformities to law are set a “structure is a biological action” and the credible mechanism of antioxidant action is set.

STRUCTURAL AND MORPHOMETRIC INDICATORS OF SENSORIMOTOR CORTEX REACTION OF RATS OF DIFFERENT AGES AFTER TRAUMATIC BRAIN INJURY AND GENE THERAPY

Based on the model of severe traumatic brain injury (TBI) of adult and old Wistar rats has been shown substantial modifications of cortex cytoarchitectonic, that were reflected in the change of the normal structure of the nervous tissue, reducing the number of neurons and abrupt increase in neuroglia. “Loss of neurons” and rare apoptotic cells were observed more frequently in the layers of the cortex, located closer to the white fibers. Gene therapy by means of liposomal transfection brain tissue using plasmid vector carrying the gene apoE3, significantly decreased reactive gliosis of the cortex and positively affected the number of neurons, preventing their loss in adults and especially in old rats.

SYNTHESIS, PHYSICAL-CHEMICAL AND BIOLOGICAL PROPERTIES OF 8-BENZYLIDENHYDRAZINO-1-ETHYLTHEOBROMINES

Simple preparative synthesis methods for previously undescribed 8-benzylidenhydrazino-1-ethyltheobromines – potential biologically active compounds have been developed. The structures of synthesized compounds have been proven by the data of elemental analisys and NMR-spectroscopy. Using the calculated molecular descriptors, the prospective viability of further studies in vitro and in vivo synthesized substances has been shown. The antimicrobial, antifungal and antioxidant activities of the obtained compounds have been explored.
